We are a Southern Baptist church that agrees with the doctrinal statement of the ‘Baptist Faith and Message.’

At Blackman, family is at the center of everything we do! We believe that the most powerful discipleship happens in the home. We also celebrate that we have been adopted into the larger family of God!

At Blackman, discipleship includes not only the study of God’s Word, but also a commitment to encourage one another to a closer walk with God.

At Blackman, service is seeking to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people God has placed in our lives. We see service as an oppertunity to fulfill the two great commandments; love God & love your neighbor.

Sunday School was the best class that we’ve been part of in a very long time.  The SS leader was obviously prepared and engaged the class in a wonderful discussion.  It was rich in content and refreshing.

I was very moved by your worship service.  I appreciate that the children were present in the worship center and engaged in the service as participants.  The liturgy was easy to follow. I love that you set aside a time for personal repentance EARLY in the service.  Your people were kind and welcoming without being overwhelming.  I also noticed that the message was clear and concise.  Thank you for not adding unnecessary commentary to extend the sermon.

We will come back again when we have opportunity.  If we were local to Murfreesboro, we’d place Blackman as a strong contender for our family to join.
